![]() Apart from that I really dig the layout of other controls such as VOL/PAN/DLY/pattern wrap…It would of been even better if the transport buttons were there too but as I use keys for that I’m only slightly bitchy about that. Improvement to the VSTi Alias selector…There should be an option to choose alias/Mutihost On/off for the use of VSTi’s that use mutichannels such as Hypersonic/Sampletank/Hypercanvas…Fed up of expanding the alias + everytime I have to assign a channel.at least leave it open if previously used.Īpart from them little personal improvements I can’t fault it…apart from slight layout modifications made from 2.0 to 2.6 such as moving the octave down the bottom…have a tendency to keep selecting TPL(Ticks per Line) where Octave used to be. Longer instrument window.although I only have a 17inch screen at 1280 x 1080 but IF it’s the same on a 22inch then please at least have a drop down box so at least say 12 or 16 instruments can be viewed/selected…8 instruments is pretty weak if you ask me…possibly removing the muti-instrument bank too to save up at least space for 3 more main instrument slots. Support for pitch bend on vsti’s!!!!!! 2xx, 3xx still only works on samples! I cant be bothered to keep messing around with MIDI Messages CC bullshit. Gets on my nerves when having to enter a note then go back and hit enter.visa versa. there should be an option just like on OCTAMED V3+ where this mode is togged(Ideal for complex chord structuring). Rather than hitting enter to hear whats played on the edit line. Hypersonic2 compatibility issues need addressingĬrashes when using more than 13 Albino 3 instruments (CPU around 8%) ![]() ![]() Here finally are my list of personal improvements.įull Waves Diamond bundle Support(Latest update) - L1 maximizer and Pitchshifter stills crashes at random times. Then Renoise 2.63 came out and I was totally blown away with the pattern matrix and tool support but I still feel today that it can still be improved.Mainly on the VSTi stability side of things(Old VSTi’s and new alike). Then came out Renoise 2.0 which had tons of new features and improvements here and there. The Idea of VSTi and sample in tracker format seemed very appealing and very exciting, a breath of fresh air when trying to structure complex note inputs on a piano roll on a sequencer and also having a Midi Keyboard infront of a pc keyboard kept making me uncomfortable. So I started using Renoise more and more but was really never satisfied with the overall quality of tracks I wrote on it. Until Renoise 1.6 Came out it finally started grabbing my attention. I was switching back and forth from Pro-tools, Reason, Cubase VST,SX at the time where Vsti’s were only just simple. Then came along Renoise and funny enough I wasn’t too keen on it at first. Until finally moving onto PC i’ve been using FastTracker, ImpulseTracker, Modplug and Madtracker in which I used Modplug for a long 4 years back in the day. I then spent a long time with Protracker, Clones and of course the totally loved MED/Octamed/Soundstudio series on the Amiga. I have been a tracker user since the days of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum with Pro-tracker and Music Machine(Early form of tracker). My little rant about renoise (Improvements)
